History of the Awards

Launched in 2022 and endorsed by government ministries, the ESG Positive Impact Awards were created with a clear mission: to recognize the significant ESG achievements of Malaysian companies of all sizes. The awards aim to inspire other businesses—from SMEs to large corporations—to build, adopt, and enhance their own sustainability initiatives by highlighting successful role models.

2022

The Inaugural Awards

The inaugural ESG Positive Impact Awards 2022 brought together companies from various industries to celebrate Malaysia's most effective environmental, social, and governance practices. The overwhelming success of this first edition solidified the awards' future as a key initiative in the country.

2023

Embrace a Sustainable Future

Returning for its second year, the awards adopted the theme "Embrace a Sustainable Future." This theme underscored the need for collective action toward sustainability. The event celebrated 64 award winners for their unwavering support in building a sustainable Malaysia.

2024

Celebrating ESG Excellence

The third edition of the awards, themed "Celebrating ESG Excellence," spotlighted companies that are integrating ESG values into their operations beyond profit margins. A total of 62 awards were presented to companies from diverse sectors. During the gala night, it was announced that the inaugural Asia ESG Positive Impact Awards 2025 will take place on 6 November 2025, marking a significant expansion of the initiative.
